Lucille Nancy Martin Keeton
April 28, 1934 — April 3, 2020
Lucille Nancy Martin Keeton was born April 28, 1934 in Wayne County, TN, the daughter of the late Coleman and Eula Martin. On February 6, 1954, she married Guy Keeton and he preceded her in death on February 10, 1987.
Mrs. Keeton was of the Baptist faith and attended the Forty-Eight Creek Freewill Baptist Church when her health permitted.
Mrs. Keeton worked for Genesco over thirty years and her last job was with the Wayne County Nursing Home.
She departed this life on Friday, April 3, 2020 at the Waynesboro Health and Rehabiliation Center in Waynesboro, TN at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 6 days and is survived by her sisters, Nell Bevis and Frankie Morgan both of Waynesboro, TN, Iva McNutt of Chattanooga, TN and Jean Littrell and husband, Elmo of Iron City, TN and nieces and nephews
Other than her parents and husband, Mrs. Keeton was preceded by sisters, Lois Watkins and Lila Whitehead.
She was a caring and loving person to all and leaves behind so many friends the family could never mention them all!
The family is filled with great sorrow that a public visitation and service for her extended family and many friends cannot be held at this time. Private services for her immediate family will be held with Tim Hanback officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens at Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County assisting the family.
IN RESPONSE TO GOVERNOR LEE'S EXECUTIVE ORDER 17, WHICH TOOK EFFECT AT 12:01 ON MARCH 23, 2020, THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC VISITATIONS OR SERVICES UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. WE APPRECIATE YOUR COOPERATION AND APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE.
