Lucina Enano Luna departed this life on Monday, February 24, 2020, at the age of 97 years, 6 months, and 25 days. She was born in Manila, Philippines on July 30, 1922, the daughter of the late Carmen Castillo and Juan Enano. In 1943, she was united in marriage to Arsenio C. Luna, who preceded her in death in 1987.
Lucina moved to Michigan in 1975 and for the past seven years had lived in Hardin County, Tennessee, where she was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She had owned her own business as a caterer and was also a housewife.
Lucina is survived by her children, Esther Alignay and Emelita Domocmat, both of Davenport, Florida, Fernando Luna of South Spring, Maryland, Manuel Luna Waterford, Michigan, Antonio Luna of Norwalk, California, Arturo Luna of Azuza, California, Rachel Franco of Sterling Heights, Michigan, and Rowena DeWitt of Savannah, Tennessee; nineteen grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lucina was preceded in death by a son, Ceasar Luna; grandchildren, Michelle Luna and Mercedes Luna; brothers, Daniel Castillo and Francisco Enano; and sisters, Purification Bobadilla and Felicidad Asercion.
Our mother was hardworking, unselfish, resilient, and strong woman, who loved her family dearly. She had a heart for the poor around her and helped them all she could. She was a woman of prayer and a lover of God.
