Ludell Young, 75, of Bolivar, departed this life Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Bolivar General Hospital.
The widow of Carl Wade young, Sr., who died on September 26, 2018, after almost 44 years of marriage, she worked at Kilgore, at the junior high school in food service and retired from Western Mental Health Institute. She was born Tuesday, April 9, 1946, in Hardeman County, daughter of the late William Mitchell Wilson and Fannie Ervin Wilson and lived all of her life in Hardeman County except for a few years in Michigan. She loved to garden, cook, play cards and travel, especially with her husband, but held her greatest love for her family and grandchildren. She was well known for always wanting to help others and putting others before herself. Mrs. Young was a Baptist in faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Dickson (Rodney) of Middleton; three sons, Greg W. Young of Greenwood, IN, Carl Wade Young, Jr., (Kristine) of Bolivar and James Mitchell Young (Amanda) of Covington; a sister, Mary Jane Rainey (Edward) of Bolivar; and 12 grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, William Lee Wilson and Ezra Wilson; a son, Jerry Lee Young; and a grandson, Trey Wade Young.
