Lula (Cookie) Pennington

was born in Memphis, Tennessee on April 20, 1950 the daughter of the late Richard Columbus Bradley, Sr. and Ellen Mable Hollie Bradley.

She was united in marriage to Joel Wayne Pennington,Sr., who preceded his wife in death on March 14, 2005.

Lula was a homemaker. She enjoyed painting, fishing, and spending time with Conchita Bradley, her best friend, sister-in-law, and partner-in-crime.

Lula departed this life on July 21, 2021 in Florence, Alabama at the age of 71 years, 3 months and 1 day.

She is survived by her children, Tina Delaney and Bo Pennington and his wife Belinda, all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Nicole Carter, Dana Stanfield, Bobbie Jo Bearden, Brandi Fielder, Trinity Pennington, and Joe Pennington; eight great grandchildren; and sisters, Gwen Pinedo and Mary Smith, both of Memphis, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lula was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Steve Delaney; sister, Ellen Brown; and two brothers, Mike Bradley and Richard Bradley, Jr.
