ALLYN SIKES
Henderson, TN: Luther Allyn Sikes, age 76 passed away Sunday morning, February 16 at his home in Henderson.
He was born March 1, 1943 in Chester County and grew up at Five Points in Madison County, the son of the late James Allen and Mary Christine Ballard Sikes. He attended school in Madison County. He moved to Florida at an early age in the 60’s and started working as a florist. He owned three different flower shops during his working years, retiring in 2008 and moving back to Tennessee. He was a nationally known designer, some of his floral designs were published in the International Flower Magazine of the United States and also in Southern Retail and Creation Designs of American. He was a member of the Florida State Florist Association and was a Past President. He was also a member of the Florida State Florists Hall of Fame. He enjoyed running and had been in some half Marathons.
He was a member of the Pinson Church of God.
Mr. Sikes is survived by two brothers, Steve Sikes of Plant City, FL. and Jackie Sikes (Shirley) of Henderson and four sisters, Nancy Jackson of Jacks Creek, TN, Connie McKinney of Pinson, TN, Phyllis Hough of Plant City FL. and Jolynn Armstrong (James) of Huron, TN; an adopted son Aaron Frankhauser (Anna) of Cleveland, TN; two godchildren, Avery and Jace Frankhauser and two sister-in-law’s, Susie Sikes of Jackson and Joy Sikes of Henderson.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 19th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East main with Bro. James McKinney, Jr., Bro. Danny Webb and Bro. Don Cartwright officiating. Burial will follow in Big Springs Cemetery at Pinson.
The family will receive friends at East Main 10 AM until 2 PM Wednesday.
