A Celebration of Life

Lynda Marie Tacker, age 72, passed away October 31st at her home in Henderson, Tennessee, surrounded by her loving family. Lynda was recently preceded in death by her husband Danny Tacker in the 30th year of marriage together. She was also preceded by her parents, her brother Junior Adcock, and her sister Nancy Graham. Lynda is survived by her daughter Sandy Clanton of Unionville TN; her son Jeremy Burrow (spouse Jeffrey Fisher) of Jacksonville, FL; her stepson Jason Tacker (wife Kayla, granddaughters Jaleigh and Kendra) of Cordova, TN; three brothers, Edward Adcock of Manchester, TN; Cecil Gene Adcock of Shelbyville, TN; and Larry Adcock of Shelbyville, TN.

Lynda was born on January 18, 1948 in Manchester, TN, to William Julius Adcock, Sr. and Adeline Daisy Arnold Adcock. She grew up in Bell Buckle, TN, and graduated from Bell Buckle High School in 1966 and played basketball for her school. She continued her education in Cosmetology and went on to successfully achieve a sole proprietorship of her salon, Studio of Charm of Shelbyville. She was active in her community in Shelbyville, including coordinating for the local annual fundraiser production “Hee Haw and Howdy” for the American Cancer Society. She was also involved with the local Retail Merchants and Chamber of Commerce. After her move to Henderson, Lynda retired from cosmetology and embraced her new community, finding new paths to continue her passion to volunteer including serving as the Executive Director of Chester County Chamber of Commerce.

Lynda was a Christian and an active member of First United Methodist Church, the Lion’s Club, and the American Cancer Society. She supported Freed-Hardeman Athletics, Chester County Chamber of Commerce, and the annual Chester County BBQ Festival. She volunteered her time and assisted the local election polls to help her community to vote.

Lynda loved her husband Danny. They were inseparable and they came as a pair, doing everything together. Lynda also loved her family and instilled the importance of togetherness through consistent display of family traditions and values. She loved holidays, traveling, and family trips to the beach. Together she and Danny built a loving home. Lynda was compassionate, dependable, creative, strong-willed, determined, and she saw potential in everything and was always seeking solutions. She was always up for a good challenge and she showed our family that strength to her last day with us. We will all be together again.
