Madge Charline Huggins

Madge Charline Huggins of Millington, TN formerly of McNairy County, was born December 11, 1931 the daughter of the late Montie Brooks Stanfield and Lollye Dicks Stanfield. She was united in marriage to Harold Roy Huggins Sr. on October 28, 1950. Mr. Huggins preceded her in death on January 19, 2019.

Mrs. Huggins was a retired Records Clerk with the University Of Tennessee Memphis. Prior to her employment with U T, she worked as a volunteer with the Suicide Prevention Center. She previously attended the Fourth Street church of Christ in Selmer. She enjoyed working in her yard, tending her flowers, traveling, and was an avid reader. Mrs. Huggins departed this life on March 31, 2019 in Collierville, Tennessee at the age of 87 Years, 3 Months, 20 Days.

She is survived by a daughter, Teresa Morris and husband Bubba of Drew, MS; two sons, Harold Roy Huggins, Jr. and wife Mary of Savannah, TN, Ricky Huggins and wife Betty of Millington, TN; two brothers, Harry Brooks Stanfield and wife Connie of Mills River, NC, Montie Stanfield and wife Ann of San Carlos, CA; 6 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild along with a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Huggins was preceded in death by a sister, Gayle Pleutz.

Joint Memorial Services for Mr. & Mrs. Huggins will be on Sunday, April 14, 1:00 PM, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer.
