Madie Lou McDonald, 79, of Middleton, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at Pine Meadows Healthcare Center in Bolivar.
A native of Hardeman County, she was born April 27, 1941, daughter of the late Redus and Cradie Lou Pipkin Hannis and lived her whole life here. She married James H. McDonald on October 1, 1960 and he preceded her in death on January 5, 1993. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, quilting and cooking, making some of the best pies her family ever tasted. She received her greatest fulfillment from being around her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she dearly loved. Mrs. McDonald was a member of Porters Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Doris McDonald of Middleton; a son, Roger McDonald (Tammy) of Bolivar; two brothers, Sam Hannis of Middleton and Jimmy Hannis of Bolivar; 8 grandchildren, Reva, Ethan and Kyle McDonald, Brittney Edgeston (Dee), April O'Conner (Ayele), Shelby McDonald, Jonathan Graham (Nikki) and Christy Graham; 11 great grandchildren; and two daughters in law, Kim McDonald and Ola McDonald. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, James Wade and Terry Lynn McDonald; a sister, Emma Jane McKee and two brothers, Malvin and Jr. Hannis. * Maintain 6 feet between yourself and the next closest person;
* Refrain from hugs and handshakes;
* When you sneeze or cough, use your elbow to cover your nose and mouth;
* Wash your hands often;
* Avoid touching your face; and
* Minimize time spent in places where people gather.
