Maggie Juanita "Tot" Taylor was born October 21, 1934 in McNairy County, TN, the daughter of the late Odus Odell and Lois Williams Moore. She lived her life in Michie and was an exceptional basketball player at Michie High School. She was a devoted member of Trinity Baptist Church of Michie. Tot spent a lot of her time cooking and used that for her ministry. She was also a member of the VFW, American Legion and the senior citizens of Michie. Tot was a retired beautician of 30 plus years. She enjoyed quilting, collecting Moon and Star glassware and attending, along with Tot's long time companion Maury McClain, all of her granddaughter's sporting events.
Mrs. Taylor departed this life on August 1, 2019 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 9 Months, 11 Days.
She is survived by a son, Odus Stacye Rinks and wife Lisa of Michie, TN; a sister, Louise Clayton of Corinth, MS; five grandchildren: Courtney Ramirez and husband Carlos, Lani Price and husband Steven, Matt King, Tyler King, Macey King all of Michie, TN; nine great grandchildren; one great grandson, Odie on the way; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Brown; three brothers: J. R. "Bully" Moore, Travis Moore and Paul William Moore; long time companion, Maury McClain.
