Mr. Farris passed from this life on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at Bolivar General Hospital.
He was born in Hardeman County, the son of the late Jeff E. and Catherine Walton Farris. He lived in Hardin County, TN for 21 years, working as a commercial fisherman and carpenter before moving back to Hornsby to retire in 2018. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, his dogs and time spent with his grandchildren.
Mr. Farris was the widower of Brenda Faye Cox Farris, who he married on November 21, 1960. Mrs. Farris passed away on Monday, June 25, 1979. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Martha White; and two brothers, Billy and Jim Farris.
Surviving relatives include three sons, Danny (Tracy) Farris of Hornsby, Randy (Janet) Farris of Whiteville and Kenny (Lisa) Farris of Savannah; two brothers, Jack (Peggy) Farris of Livingston, TX and Eddie (Peggy) Farris of Bolivar; six grandchildren, Brenda (Rick) Foster, Crystal (Dewayne) Grantham, Luke (Kaitlyn) Farris, Kenneth Farris, Dalton Farris and Mark (Katelyn) Farris; and 13 great-grandchildren.
