Mareette Pierce

Mrs. Mareette Pierce, age 72 of Bartlett, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital.

Born in Holly Grove, TN, she lived the last 55 years of her life in Bartlett, TN. She was the daughter of the late Cecil and Elizabeth Tracy Mills and on November, 6, 1970, she was united in marriage to Mr. Harold Pierce who survives. Both she and he were members of 45 Baptist Church near Moscow, TN.

Mrs. Pierce worked as a taxpayer advocate for the Internal Revenue Service for 17 years. She loved to travel, read, camp and being outdoors. She and Mr. Pierce had been to nearly all 50 states and she particularly enjoyed visiting Yellowstone National Park.

In addition to her husband, she leaves a daughter, Tracey Adell Montoya of Bartlett; two sons, Ronald Edward Pierce of Memphis and Gregory Lynn Pierce of Houston, TX; granddaughter, Kayla Renee' Montoya; two sisters, Beauton Hogwood (Ken) of New Smyrna Beach, FL and Imogene Dawson (Wayne) of Holly Grove, TN; and a brother, Derwood Mills, also of Holly Grove.
