MARK EARL BURD
was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan on August 9, 1953 the son of the late Edward Russell and Mary Jane Moore Burd.
On August 4, 1973 he was united in marriage to Sandra Kay Kimbel, who survives.
Mark was a longtime resident of Detroit, Michigan, where he was a foster parent. He retired after 32 years from Ford Motor Company. After retirement Mark moved to Saltillo, Tennessee, where he was a volunteer for the Saltillo Fire Department. He was a great father, his family never did without, and the house must have been spotless because one of his favorite things was his vacuum cleaner.
Mark departed this life on March 15, 2019 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 65 years, 7 months and 6 days.
In addition to his wife of 45 years, Sandra of Saltillo, Tennessee, he is survived by his children, Mark Scott Burd and his wife Caryn of Wayne, Michigan, Keith Russell Burd of Fremont, Michigan, Daniel Wayne Burd of Westland, Michigan. Martin Burd of Detroit, Michigan, Joshua Burd and his wife Sky of Saltillo, Tennessee, Briana Burd of Fremont, Michigan, Joseph Burd of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Alexis Burd of Savannah, Tennessee and Katrice Burd of Saltillo, Tennessee; brothers, Allan Burd of Walled Lake, Michigan and Matthew Burd of St. Meyers, Florida; grandchildren, Katie Burd, Anthony Burd, Cameron Burd, Tommy Burd, Jaimee Burd, Julia Burd, Korbin Burd and Khloe Burd.
