Marlon E. Brown, age 83, of Middleton, departed this life on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Born on Tuesday, February 28, 1939 to the late Marlon Woodrow Brown and Virdna Viola Chiles Brown, he lived most all of his life in Hardeman County. He worked primarily as a carpenter, building trusses, for Jordan Homes in Memphis and finished his working life in maintenance at Wal-Mart. A US Army veteran, he was Baptist in belief and enjoyed reading in his spare time.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Joan W. Brown, in January, 2020. Other deceased family members include his granddaughter, Mary Brown; great-granddaughter, Amber Keller; daughter-in-law, Teresa Brown; sister, Margie Mattox and brother, James Lewis Brown.
Survivors include his son, Mark Brown (Rhonda) of Middleton; daughter, Melissa Ellen Brown (Robert) of Ripley, MS; step-daughter, Anita Sanders (Terry) of Jackson; step-sons, Lynn Howell and James Howell (Tammy), both of Middleton; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
