Marshall Newt Cummins

Mr. Marshall Newt Cummins was born December 16, 1934 in Collinwood, TN the son of the late Lincoln and Ellen Blalock Cummins. Mr. Cummins was a Welder for TVA and later retired from Columbia Construction. He was a 32nd Degree Mason in the Columbia, TN lodge. Mr. Cummins departed this life on April 30, 2019 in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 4 Months, 14 Days.

He is survived by three daughters, Debbie Jenkins and husband Ken of Centerville, TN, Connie Martinez of Duck River, TN, Lori Harrison of Hampshire, TN; a son, Johnny Cummins and wife Vicky of Centerville, TN; four brothers, Lester Cummins of Lawrenceburg, TN, Herschel (Obie) Cummins of Collinwood, TN, James Cummins of Collinwood, TN, David Cummins of Collinwood, TN; two sisters, Ruth Ellen May of Collinwood, TN, and Linda Johnson of Collinwood, TN. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Cummins was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl Cummins, Larry Cummins, Jerry Cummins; and three sisters, Ruby Martin, Vada DeCapo,Mildred Burns.

There will be visitation with the family at the Shackelford Chapel in Collinwood Saturday May 4th, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM with military honors to follow the visitation. Per his request his body will be cremated following the visitation and military honors.
