Mary Beth Hyman

January 8, 1949 — June 8, 2022

Mary Beth Hyman, 73, departed her earthly life on June 8, 2022.

Mary Beth was born in Jackson, TN to the late Paul Kilzer and Ann Watson Kilzer on January 8, 1949. She always reminded family and friends that her "Queendom" started at birth since she shared her birthday with Elvis, the king. On July 15, 1973, she married her once-in-a-lifetime love, John Louis Hyman of Bolivar, TN.

She was known for her free-spirited, one-of-a-kind love that flowed so freely to everyone around. She lived life to the fullest and never met a stranger. She had a heart full of generosity and never hesitated to help anyone she could. Her artistic flair and outstanding personality allowed her to live fearlessly and become a bright spark that will be missed by many.

She spent many years of her life impacting and molding young minds through her unique, yet remarkable, school teaching career. After retirement, she used her artistic flair and pursued her passion of art. From commissioned art work, to adorning the walls of art galleries, or just giving a piece of her heart through a personally made gift, she used her passion well.

Besides pouring her heart out for others, there was no doubt to everyone how much she loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Paul Kilzer, Jr. and John T. Kilzer. Left to live on her vibrant legacy are her husband, John Hyman; two children, Heather Williams (Michael) and Pete Hyman; a brother, Ray Kilzer(Millie); six grandchildren, Slaton, Jagger and Lexton Hyman and Dallis Bizzell (Tyler), Alexis Williams and Anna Beth Williams; and one great-granddaughter due to make her appearance in August.

There will be a gathering at First Baptist Church, Bolivar, TN for friends and family on June 11, 2022 from 11 am - 1 pm followed by a celebration of life to honor Mary Beth Hyman.
