Mrs. Doyle departed this life Saturday, June 25, 2022. She was the widow of Mr. Laverne E. Doyle who passed away April 5, 2022.
The daughter of the late Ervin Lee and Mary Lou Evans King, she was born in Lexington, TN and moved to Hardeman County at age 5 where she lived the remainder of her life. She married Mr. Lavern E. Doyle on December 12, 1960. They had been married 61 years at the time of his passing. She was primarily a homemaker but, was bookkeeper for the family farm and trucking business.
Mrs. Doyle was a member of the Bolivar church of Christ and had been a Sunday School teacher. In her leisure time, she enjoyed being outdoors working in her garden, tending her roses or picking blackberries with her grandchildren. Her family, including children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were everything to her.
Her survivors are her daughter, Sherrie Shelby (Lee) of Jackson; her two sons, Timothy E. Doyle (Glenda) of Whiteville and Steven Doyle (Andreia) of Toone; a sister, Linda Richardson (Jerry) of Doniphan, MO; a brother, John King (Annie) of Little Rock, AR; and 10 grandchildren, Kenny Doyle (Stacie), William Matthew Doyle, Amanda Harris (Matt), Kandy Doyle, Lauren DeBerry (Dominque Forbis), Zach DeBerry, LeAnna Moore (Jonathan), Gracie, Sophie and Spencer Doyle; and a host of great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, J. W., David and Larry Wayne King.
