Mattie Dean Franks

Mattie Dean Franks, age 87, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, in Savannah, Tennessee. She was born in Florence, Alabama, on May 8, 1935, the daughter of the late Richard and Elzie Wilson. On June 9, 1954, she was united in marriage to JC Franks, who survives.

Mattie was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, working puzzles, and coloring, when she was able. She also loved cooking for her family.

In addition to her husband JC, Mattie is survived by her children, Jerry Franks and his wife Brenda, Judy Kelly, Billy Franks and his wife Debbie, and Jana Davis and her husband Ronald; grandson that she helped to raise, John Franks; 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Mattie was preceded in death by her son, James Kenneth Franks; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Franks; son-in-law, Phillip Kelly; brothers, Gene Wilson and Billy Wilson.
