Max C. Grant

Mr. Grant passed from this life on Friday, May 7, 2021, in Nashville.

He was born in Marianna, AR and moved with his parents, the late Marshall Lee Grant and Irene Bryant Grant, when he was six months old, to Bolivar, where he lived the remainder of his life. He was reared by his late aunt, Elizabeth Bryant Pierce and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Curtis and Marshall.

Mr. Grant served his county in the US Navy from 1952-1956 and on November 16th of that same year, was united in marriage to Barbara Brown at Parran's Chapel Baptist Church. He was a long-time member of the church and had worked for the US Postal Service in Bolivar for 25 years. Mr. Grant also had been a sprinkler fitter for Rockwood Sprinkler Company.

In his leisure time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He and Mrs. Grant had traveled to 47 different states and all of Canada. First and foremost in his life, however, was his love for his Lord and his family.

In addition to his wife of 64 years, Barbara Grant, he leaves his son, Ricky Grant of Ball Ground, GA; special daughter, Vivian Biggers of Bolivar; four grandchildren, Luke Grant, Jesse Grant, Rhiannon Grant Cline and Rachel Grant; and six great-grandchildren.
