Maxine Hodge, 90, of Middleton, passed from this life Thursday, January 14, 2021 at her home.
Mrs. Hodge was born March 31, 1930, to William Arthur and Mary Katherine Sanders Howell. She lived all her life in Hardeman County and on February 15, 1947, she married Clyde Hodge, who passed from this life on February 13, 1997. She worked for Brown Shoe in Selmer for 22 years, retiring in 1992, and for Hardeman Garment. Mrs. Hodge was an avid quilter and served as a member of the Middleton Homemakers Club, the Breakfast Club, and The Widows Ministry at Porters Creek Baptist Church. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Middleton.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Stewart and husband Paul of Toone; a son, Terry Hodge and wife Mary Sue of Middleton; a sister, Doris Lowrance of Covington; four grandchildren, Renee Houston, Aubrey Hodge, Ashley Brown, and Alexis Stewart Williams; and by 8 great-grandchildren, Dalton Lane Hodge, Devin Reece Houston, Daylon Wayne Hodge, Owen Cleveland Brown, Kanaan Wayne Brown, Aubreana Dawn Brown, Morgan Faith Houston and Loren Houston.
