Mearle Swisher

Mearle Swisher

was born in Indiana on May 10, 1939 the son of the late George and Grace Williams Swisher.

On June 7, 1996 he was united in marriage to Kathryn Marie Davis, who survives.

Mearle served his country proudly in the United States Navy. He worked as an over-the-road truck driver for Pausquale Trucking Company in Logansport, Indiana for several years. Mearle was a resident of Hardin County for 26 years. He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. In his spare time Mearle enjoyed hunting, fishing, leather working, making bullets for his guns, and doing mechanic work, especially on trike motorcycles.

Mearle departed this life on Sunday, May 29, 2022 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 83 years and 19 days.

In addition to his wife of 25 years, Kathryn Swisher of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by two sons, Brent Smith and his wife Krystal of Crump, Tennessee and Elijah Swisher of Savannah, Tennessee; step-son, Bryan Smith of Indiana; two grandchildren; and sisters, Franice Swisher and Jane Scharf, both of Indiana.

Mearle was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Elouise Swisher.
