Melba Walton

Melba Walton was born June 22, 1941 in Evarts, KY the daughter of the late E.O. and Alene Saylor Davis.

She was united in marriage to Ted Walton on July 1, 1966.

For many years, she lived in Bolivar, TN before moving to Bethel Springs. She worked in garment factories but retired to her most fulfilling and rewarding job as "Grandma." Spending time and caring for her grandchildren brought her great joy! She loved working jigsaw puzzles, singing, playing board games, and cooking special meals for her grandchildren and family. She was a wonderful seamstress who took great pride in making clothes for her daughters, an avid reader, and enjoyed crocheting.

She was an active member of Curtis Hill church of God of Prophecy in Bethel Springs, TN. She was the VBS storyteller and music director, many will remember the "Bear Hunt." She also served her church as a Sunday school teacher and organist.

Mrs. Walton departed this life on April 23, 2022 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 10 Months, 1 Day. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ted Walton of Bethel Springs, TN; two daughters, Kim Horner and husband Richie of Bethel Springs, TN, Debra Isbell and husband Glenn of Bethel Springs, TN; four grandchildren, Clayton Isbell of Bethel Springs, TN, Katie Isbell of Bethel Springs, TN, Colton Horner and wife Ali of Water Valley, MS, Brandon Horner of Bethel Springs, TN; two great grandchildren, Nicky and Neely Horner; five sisters, Diana McCoy and husband Ralph, Judy Isbell and husband David, Libby Myers and husband Henry, Sandy Clark and husband Dennie, and Imajewel Stephens; three brothers, Bill Davis and wife Judy, David Davis and wife Lanita, Johnny Davis and wife Martha; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Walton was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Davis and wife Anna.
