Melinda Prater was born September 21, 1960 in Dyersburg, TN the daughter of the late Robert Moody and Nora Virginia Meachum Wright.
Melinda was formerly employed by Jimmy Dean Foods in Newburn, TN. She attended the church of Christ in Dyersburg and loved her family dearly.
Melinda departed this life on November 29, 2021 in Michie, Tennessee at the age of 61 Years, 2 Months, 8 Days. She is survived by her husband David Proctor of Michie, TN; two sons, Danny E. Ramey and wife Melissa of Corinth, MS and Robert Ramey of Michie, TN; a daughter, Lisa Bernal of Alamo, TN; two grandchildren, Hannah Ramey of Corinth, MS and Michael Hamm of Michie, TN; two sisters, Janet S. Hunt of New Haven, FL and Sharron Hamel of Roellen, TN; a brother, Larry W. Wright of Caruthersville, MO; and many extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Melinda was preceded in death by a son, James Parsons; three sisters: Joyce Short, Barbara Rushing, and Debbie A. Wright; and three brothers: Jerry Burr, Robert G. Wright, and Keith Wright.
