MELVIN S. CHVAL
was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 4, 1933 the son of the late Stanley and Agatha Chval.
On May 4, 1990 he was united in marriage to Donna Faye Glover, who survives.
Mr. Chval served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He retired from Pickwick Landing State Park, where he worked in maintenance.
Mr. Chval loved woodworking and liked to take care of his yard. Taking care of his wife was the most important part of his life.
Mr. Chval departed this life on December 31, 2017 at his residence in Counce, Tennessee at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 27 days.
In addition to his wife of 27 years, Donna Glover Rickman Chval of Counce, Tennessee, he is survived by his children, Charles Anthony Rickman, Sr. and his wife Pat of Shiloh, Tennessee, Craig Chval and his wife Kathyrne of Missouri and Keith Chval of Illinois.
12 grandchildren, Charlie Rickman, Melissa Shutt, Tim Shutt, Cherish McGee, Catlin Chval, Colin Chval, Daniel Chval, Brian Chval, Kevin Chval, Craig Chval Jr., Luke Chval and Lauren Kaveney
8 great grandchildren, Tristan Gray, Dylan Gray, Tea' Shutt, Walker McGee, Reigan Young, Aubrey Rickman ,Adalyn Rickman and Evie Kaveney
one sister, Sharon Gretts and her husband Peter of Beavertown, Oregon
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Mark Rickman.
