He was born in Youngstown, Ohio on May 18, 1953, the son of the late Jesus and Anna Cruz. Miguel had been a bus operator, a paramedic for 18 years, and a postal worker for 15 years.
Miguel is survived by his son, Eric Cruz, Sr. and wife Patricia of Counce, Tennessee; brother, David Cruz of New York, New York; sister, Tati Rodriguez of Florida; grandchildren, Eric Cruz, Jr. and Miguel Cruz; former wife, Nilsa Cruz of Bronx, New York.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Cruz.
