Mike Magelitz was born on July 2, 1971 in Jacksonville, Illinois, the son of the late Reginald Eugene Magelitz and Patsy Ruth McDonald Hobbs, who survives.
He was a carpenter with Vann Flooring in Savannah, and had also worked for Smith's Construction. He had lived in Hardin County for the past 7 years and attended the Clifton Church of God. He enjoyed playing basketball, going to the creek, fishing, cooking, and grilling.
He departed this life on August 24, 2012 at the age of 42 years, 1 month, and 22 days.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Joslyn Rose Magelitz of Savannah, TN; 2 sisters, Holly Ann Cupples of Medon, TN, and Misty Dawn Eaton of Waynesboro, TN; and 1 brother, Terry Dan Fowler of Mountain City, TN.
