Mildred Ernestine Thrasher Blount

Mildred Ernestine Thrasher Blount was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on January 21, 1930, the daughter of the late Herman and Cora Delaney Thrasher.
Mildred was joined in marriage to Delmas Blount on May 30, 1947, and shared 71 years together. Delmas preceded her in death on August 27, 2018.
Mildred worked many years for Brown Shoe Company before becoming co-owner and proprietor of the Savannah Greenhouse and Garden Center.
Mildred loved music, and she and Delmas danced together as often as possible. They not only two-stepped and waltzed, but were actively involved in both country and western styles of square dancing.
Mildred departed this life on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at the age of 90 years, 9 months, and 27 days.
She is survived by her children, Arthur Herman "Mac" Blount, Thalia Hinton and her husband Larry, and Barbara Blount; a grandchild, Andy Hinton and his wife Kate; a brother, Carl Thrasher and his wife Brenda; a sister, Sue Thrasher; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mildred was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Frank Thrasher.
The family requests that masks be worn, and social distancing be practiced at both the visitation and the funeral service.
