Minnie Sue Clay Franks
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on October 15, 1937 the daughter of the late Herbert Nolan and Rosa Lee Downing Clay.
On February 26, 1955 she was united in marriage to Hollis Odell Franks, who preceded his wife in death on February 10, 2022.
Mrs. Franks retired from Savannah Manufacturing, where she worked in the piece work department. She was a member of Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church and Woodmen of the World.
Mrs. Franks departed this life on Friday, February 11, 2022, one day after her husband Hollis Odell, at the age of 84 years, 3 months and 27 days.
She is survived by her children, Cathy Diane Franks Simmons Bittle of Savannah, Tennessee, Carol Annette Franks Simmons of Collinwood, Tennessee, and Keith Allen Franks and his wife Amber of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Ted Bryan Simmons and his wife Ashley, Lori Diane Simmons Seale and her husband Josh, Julia Carol Simmons Benedict and her husband Aaron, Jeremy Glenn Simmons and his wife Dana, Trent Allen Simmons and his wife Rejetta, Carrie Ann Simmons Bowers and her husband James, Courtney Jaclyn Simmons Gaylor and her husband Justin, and Bethany Carolyn Franks; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Simmons, Chris Simmons, Tristen Simmons, Sydney Simmons, Tallen Simmons, Phoebe Simmons, Tyrell Simmons, Callen Seale, Selah Seale, Sayer Simmons, Asher Simmons, Titus Simmons, Eden Simmons, Carson Bowers, Jase Bowers, Madison Bowers, Jayden Gaylor, Wyatt Gaylor, Bailey Benedict, Cady Benedict, Zachary Benedict, Aleah Benedict, Felicity Simmons, and Declan Simmons; brothers, Paul Clay of Goodlettsville, Tennessee and Ronnie Clay of Jack's Creek, Tennessee; and sister, Mary Nell Castellaw of Germantown, Tennessee.
