Minnie Sue Stutts

July 26, 1917 — June 21, 2014

Minnie Sue Davis Stutts of Waynesboro, TN was born July 26, 1917 in Lewis Co., TN, the daughter of the late Paul Edward Davis and Leanna Adeline Curry Davis. She was united in marriage to James Neal Stutts on June 9, 1944 and he preceded her in death on May 26, 1975.

Mrs. Stutts departed this life on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Wayne County Nursing Home in Waynesboro, TN at the age of 96 years, 10 months, and 26 days.

Mrs. Stutts was a retired caregiver of the elderly but had worked at Genesco and Trace Manufacturing. She had lived in Lewis County, TN, the Riverside Community, Allen's Creek Community and Old Hickory, TN and was a member of the Green River Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee.

She is survived by a daughter, Wanda Fay Steiner and husband, Tommy of Waynesboro, TN and in addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Stutts was preceded in death by a son, Larry James Stutts and brothers, William, Guy and James Davis.

Services will be Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Cal Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 10 am until service time at the funeral home.
