"Miss" Lee Pace, age 87 of Arlington, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019, at her home.
She was born in Pocahontas, TN on Wednesday, February 3, 1932 to the late Wyley Frank and Margaret Elizabeth Wilbanks Mathis. She grew up there and had lived in Arlington since 1995. She was the widow of Mr. Ralph A. Pace.
"Miss" Lee, as she was affectionately known, retired as a LPN from Ave Maria Nursing Home in Memphis in 2002. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, Pocahontas. In her leisure time, she enjoyed exercising her "green thumb" as she tended her garden. She was also a fan of watching old "Perry Mason" episodes and working Sudoku puzzles.
She leaves her son, Tory (Michelle) Rooker of Arlington; granddaughter, Madison Rooker of Arlington; step-granddaughter, Gracie Mae Green; and step-grandson, Isaiah Woods, both of Arlington; and two sisters, Faye Hudson of Ft. Smith, AR and Louise Frazier of Palo Alto, CA.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded by two sisters, Estelle Banning of Memphis and Jean Whizin of Palo Alto; and three brothers, Troy and Horace Mathis of Pocahontas and Dalton Mathis of Memphis.
