Myrtle Madge Wilbanks

Myrtle Madge Wren Wilbanks was born in the Ramer area of McNairy County, TN on June 4, 1930, the youngest daughter of Grace and Benton Wrenns eight children.

Madge married Johnny W. Wilbanks on October 18, 1946 and raised their three children, Linda, Gay and Johnny Jr. in Memphis, TN. Madge was a stay at home mother, a very talented seamstress and also extremely creative in decorating her home inside and out. Her gardens were always breathtaking as she was an amazing self-taught landscape artist. She was also an avid walker and taught her family the importance of exercise to stay healthy.

Madge enjoyed traveling the country with her husband in their motor home, and spent many winters in Plant City, FL where they volunteered in the Annual Strawberry Festival.

Madge joined her beloved husband in heaven on November 11, 2020. at the age of 90 years. She is survived by her three children, Johnny W. Wilbanks Jr. and wife Margaret of Goose Creek, SC., two daughters, V. Gay Gatta and husband Bill of Port Jefferson, NY and Linda Jean Minnick and husband Kenneth of Maineville, Ohio, 7 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren and her beloved dog, Paxton. Our hearts are broken at having lost her so soon.
