Myrtle Warren

Mrs. Myrtle Aslee Turnbo Warren was born January 4, 1917 in Clifton, TN to the union of the late George Allen Turnbo Sr. and Flora Day Pevahouse Turnbo. She was united in marriage to Nicholas Beaumont Warren on November 8, 1936. Mr. Warren preceded her in death on November 9, 1993. Mrs. Warren worked as a nutritionist in the nutrition department for the University of Tennessee and a cook at Frank Hughes School, a member of the Democratic Organization where she served as president in 1990, a member for 65 years of the FCE Club, and a member of the Riverside United Methodist Church in Clifton, TN. Mrs. Warren departed this life on September 9, 2019 in Waynesboro, Tennessee making her stay in this life some 102 Years, 8 Months and 5 Days.

She is survived by a son, Donald Glen Warren and wife Lena of Clifton, TN; three daughters, Flora Mae Yates Weatherly of Linden, TN, Carrie Faye Harris of Clifton, TN, Roberta Sue Talley of Clifton, TN; a brother, Walton Turnbo of Savannah, TN; nine grandchildren, Jeffery Eugene Yates of Spring Hill, TN, Gregory Yates of Centerville, TN, Richie Weatherly of Hohenwald, TN, Nicky Talley of Clifton, TN, Dwight Talley of St. Petersburg, FL, Valerie Weaver of Counce, TN, Sedonna Prater of Knoxville, TN, Selena Pevahouse of Clifton, TN, Daryl Warren of Clifton, TN; seventeen great grandchildren Brittany Everett, Mason Tucker, Peyton Tucker, Nicholas Weatherly, LaTasha Barrier, Brooke Rogers, Macy Truett, Chad Simmons, Chelsey Simmons, Shainna Fortenberry, Saxon Prater, Sienna Prater, Cody Warren, Stephen Pevahouse, Emily Pevahouse, Hunter Yates Tanner, and Kyle Mayberry and twelve great great grandchildren: Hazen Simmons, Zayden Simmons, Eva Simmons, Clara Simmons, Lane Rogers, Brelee Rogers, Charlie Jenkins Pruett, Payton Weatherly, Grady Everett, Duke Fortenberry, Maggie Young and Brock Pevahouse.

In addition to her husband of 57 years and parents, Mrs. Warren was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Austin Warren; two grandchildren, Vickie Denise Harris, Kenneth Yeiser Harris; a great grandchild Andrew Jones Talley as well as four sisters and four brothers

Services will be held on September 12, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Riverside United Methodist Church in Clifton, Tennessee, with Josh Lane officiating. Burial will follow in the Culp's Cemetery on Beech Creek in Clifton, Tennessee. Visitation will be held on September 12, 2019 from 9:30 AM until service time at 3:00 PM at Riverside United Methodist Church on Highway 128 North.
