Nancy Callens departed this life on Monday, June 10, 2019, at the age of 79 years, 11 months, and 21 days. She was born in Hardin County, Tennessee, on June 20, 1939, the daughter of the late John and Lois Godwin Hulin. On March 16, 1963, she was united in marriage to Paul D. Callens, who preceded her in death on January 14, 2009.
Nancy was the co-owner of Callens Realty and retired from the State of Tennessee Youth Services where she served as a juvenile services officer for Hardin County. She is known by many from her years as manager at The Pink House Daycare. She was a member of the Savannah Church of Christ, the Junior Auxiliary, the Savannah Business and Professional Women's Association, and the Jaycette. Nancy loved to work in her flowers and yard, boating, and the beach. She especially loved her family, her many friends she loved like family, her church family, and her work family.
Nancy is survived by her son, John Paul Callens of Pickwick Dam, Tennessee; sisters, Shirley Thomas of Savannah, Tennessee and Johnnie Barnes of Counce, Tennessee; brother-in-law, Ralph Callens; nieces and nephews, Lois Ann Seaton, Mary Jo Wilson, Nicole Barnes Skelton, and Bart Barnes; and her dog, Mykia.
