Mrs. Nannie B. Donaldson of Middleton passed away Wednesday morning, April 16, 2014 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The widow of James Walter Donaldson, who died on June 18, 2013, she was a homemaker and retired as a patient care assistant with Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. She was born April 3, 1921, in Saulsbury, daughter of the late George Calvin Callahan and Nancy Candace Bryant Callahan and lived in Memphis for 30 years prior to moving back here in 1996. She loved to read her Bible and enjoyed cooking, gardening and taking care of her family. Mrs. Donaldson was a member of Middleton Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Dottie Hogan and Nancy Donaldson, both of Middleton; two sons, James Ronald Donaldson and his wife, Andrea, and Walter Lynn Donaldson, all of Middleton; a sister, Clara Mae Clifton of Bolivar; five grandchildren, Jacinda Allen, Tommy Hogan, Daryce Donaldson-Smith, Kyle and Kennedi Donaldson; and four great grandchildren, Hollie and Konner Allen, Mikenna and Taylor Smith. In addition to her husband, whom she married on December 17, 1938, and her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Thomas Calvin Donaldson; 9 of her siblings and a son in law, John Hogan. The family requests memorials be directed to the Memphis School of Preaching.
