Naomi Kerrigan was born on April 7, 1927 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late James Frank and Minnie Estelee Hughes Scott.
On October 26, 1946, she was united in marriage to James W. Smith, who preceded his wife in death on December 24, 1985. On November 12, 1989, she was united in marriage to John T. Kerrigan, preceded his wife in death on September 10, 2018.
Naomi retired from Garan Manufacturing Company where she worked as a seamstress and inspector. She was a member of Love & Truth Church in Adamsville, Tennessee. She loved working in her yard, tending to her flowers, spending time with her family, and cooking and baking for people.
Naomi Kerrigan departed this life on August 11, 2021 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 94 years, 4 months, and 4 days.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Duron Smith and his wife Sandra of Selmer, Tennessee; grandson, Cody S. Smith and his wife Billie of Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas; great granddaughter, Madelyn Scott Smith of Memphis, Tennessee; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Naomi was preceded in death by all of her brothers and sisters.
