Neal "Yogi" Bowden

Neal "Yogi" Bowden

was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on March 21, 1935 the son of the late Noah Worley and Ermar Alberta Durbin Bowden.

Neal served his country proudly in the United States Army for two years. He retired as a Tennessee River commercial fisherman and also had worked for Alamo Ammunition Plant in Alamo, Tennessee. Neal loved fishing, and riding around the community visiting with family and friends.

He departed this life on Sunday, February 28, 2021 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 7 days.

Neal is survived by his son, Jimmy Neal Bowden of Shiloh, Tennessee; stepson, Dwayne Black of Savannah, Tennessee; and a special niece and caregiver, Sherry Tuberville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Bowden; one grandchild, April Carpenter; two sisters, Louise Wilkerson and Betty Bowden Price; and four brothers, Troy Lee Davis, James Bowden, Howard "Cotton" Bowden, and Loyd Bowden.
