Neal Wade, age 85, of Middleton, passed away Friday, August 19th at Pine Meadows Healthcare Center in Bolivar.
He was born Monday, May 3, 1937, in Gibson County, son of the late Samuel James Wade and Lona Wade and lived in Trenton, Bells and all over west Tennessee prior to moving to Middleton about 30 years ago. He was the long time companion of Shirley Allen, who passed away in 2014 after 20 years together. He worked as a truck driver and mechanic and also repaired copier machines. Known as a Christian man who enjoyed reading his Bible, he loved to work on everything including tractors and lawnmowers and generally just being outside. He served in the US Army and was famous for his real good sense of humor and his great love for his family.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Stout (William) of Greenfield, TN; two sisters, Linda Reynolds of Greenfield and Thelma Bass of Trenton; a brother, Jerry Wade of Milan; a son, Freddie Allen of Middleton; 7 grandchildren; several step children, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his companion, he was preceded in death by two children, Treva Parrish in 2013 and Steve Wade in 2014 and a brother, James Wade in 2021.
