Neita Joyce Coffman
was born in Selmer, Tennessee on August 5, 1944 the daughter of the late Ray Irby and Marie Irons Petty.
On October 25, 1964 she was united in marriage to Billy Mitchell Coffman, who preceded his wife in death on October 18, 2011.
Neita was a teacher for 30 years, teaching at North Elementary in Savannah, Tennessee and Michie Elementary in Michie, Tennessee. She retired in 2006 to spend more time with her grandchildren. Neita was a member of First Baptist Church in Adamsville, Tennessee and attended Calvary Church in Clearwater, Florida. She enjoyed spending time with her Sunday School class at Calvary Church. Neita was also a member of the Island Estates Woman's Club. While in Tennessee she loved spending time with her lifelong friends, lovingly known as the "Canasta Club".
Neita departed this life at her residence in Clearwater, Florida on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 8 days.
She is survived by her daughter, Angie Ricketts and her husband Chad of Clearwater, Florida; grandchildren, Blakely Ricketts and Rylie Ricketts; brother, Larry Neal (Bo) Petty of Adamsville, Tennessee; and nephews, Hunter Petty and Barrett Neal Petty.
Neita was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Irby, Marie Petty, and Ross Petty, and her husband Billy Mitchell Coffman.
