Norma Sue Irwin Creasy

Mrs. Norma Sue Irwin Creasy departed this life on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 3 Months, 21 Days. She was born April 17, 1932 in Waynesboro, TN the daughter of the late Charlie B. Irwin and Ruby Smith Irwin Keeton.

She was united in marriage to Lelan B. Creasy on April 18, 1955. Mr. Creasy preceded her in death on February 7, 1989.

Mrs. Creasy was a homemaker, wife, mother, factory worker, attended Business College in Nashville, was a military wife in the United State Airforce base in Smyrna, TN, Germany Maxwell Airforce Base, Montgomery, Al, worked in the Radio Station, owned and operated East Side Cafe, Creasy's Drive Inn, City Hall and News Paper office. She was very active in her community with the Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiary, Republican Women, Community Service Club, Department of Children Services, Any time Santa, Foster Grandparent, Election Commission, Census Bureau, and a charter member of Ray's Chapel Church.

She is survived by daughter, Diane Creasy Gobbell, husband Doug of Waynesboro, TN., son, Dan Creasy, wife Kim of Spring Hill, TN., grandchildren, Josh Creasy, Douglas Gobbell , Derrick Gobbell, Jessica Perry Mills, Caleb Creasy, Cain Creasy, Hannah Creasy Casteel, great grandchildren, Lakelynn and Mira Jo Creasy, Eliot Gobbell, Karson Gladney, Colynn J. Mills, Landan Casteel, Layla Casteel, step great grandson, Peyton Mills , sisters, Frances Irwin Jones, Ann Irwin Scott and Melba Irwin Staggs all of Waynesboro, TN., nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Creasy was preceded in death by
son, Charles Creasy, daughter, Susan Creasy Perry, brother, Robert " Bobby" Irwin.

Services will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Larry Janes officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangments.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 8, 5:00--9:00 pm and on Thursday, August 9, 8:00 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
