Norma Faye Carroll Mercer

Mrs. Norma Faye Carroll Mercer was born April 16, 1939 in Hohenwald, TN to the union of the late John Alf and Virginia Hinson Carroll. She was united in marriage to Clovis Gene Mercer on February 9, 1957. Mr. Mercer preceded her in death on February 12, 2006. Mrs. Mercer was a Retired Seamstress from Washington Manufacturing and a member of the Pineview Church of Christ in Hohenwald, Tennessee. She was known to all as a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Christian that loved everyone. She will be remembered forever by her warm smile and loving hugs. Mrs. Mercer departed this life on December 9, 2019 in Columbia, Tennessee making her stay in this life some 80 Years, 7 Months and 23 Days.
She is survived by three sons, Ronnie Mercer and wife Teresa of Union Grove , AL, Darryl Mercer of Hohenwald, TN, Michael Mercer of Hohenwald, TN; three sisters, Glenda Sue Whitehead and husband David of Hohenwald, TN, Johnnie Brown and husband Larry of Hohenwald, TN, Carolyn Hargrave and husband Dexter of Hohenwald, TN; seven grandchildren, Tonya Johnson and husband Jeremy of Lawrenceburg, TN, Dameron Mercer and wife Rachel of Culleoka, TN, Chris Mercer and wife Candace of Hohenwald, TN, Jana Tolton of Arab, AL, Dakota Mercer and wife Heather of Columbia, TN, Shelby Mercer of Lawrenceburg, TN, Jamie Owens of Union Grove, AL; and eight great grandchildren Cayden Christie, Ashia Johnson, Carter Fennell, Lola Fennell, Marshall Tolton, Aubrey Mercer, Emma Mercer, and Carly Mercer.
In addition to her husband of 49 years and her parents, Mrs. Mercer was preceded in death by a sister, Judie Worrell.
Services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Pineview Church of Christ in Hohenwald , Tennessee, with Bobby Carroll and Jeff Durham officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pineview Church of Christ and again on Friday December 13, 2019 from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 PM at Pineview Church of Christ.
