Oscar F Broome

Mr. Oscar Broome, Sr., departed this life on Monday, February 4, 2019 at his residence in Cypress Inn, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 11 Months, 22 Days. He was born February 13, 1935 in Chickamauga, GA the son of the late William Marshall Isace and Nora Myrtle Davis Broome.

Mr. Broome was a retired truck driver for the Wayne County Highway Department, school bus driver for the Wayne County School System, worked with the Collinwood Police Department and the Wayne County Sheriff Department. Mr. Broome served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by the love of his life for 30 years, Grace West, Cypress Inn, TN; sons, Oscar Broome Jr. of Fairview, AL, Anthony Broome of Tunnell Hill, Ga., Timothy Broome of Collinwood, TN, Gaylon Broome of Collinwood, TN, step son; Terry West of Cypress Inn, TN., daughters, Cheryl Lambert of Florence, AL, Angela Broome of Iron City, TN, Marlene Hardin of Chickamauga, GA., 11 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sisters, Margret Hawkins of Trion, GA, Viola Garris of Rosswell, GA, Linda Baker of Lawrenceville, GA, Cathy Farris of Alpharetta, GA.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Broome was preceded in death by brothers, Carl Broome, Frank Broome; sisters, Thelma Gross, Lorene Tishaw and Joyce Brown.
