Mrs. Flint passed away Saturday night, December 21, 2019, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was born in Jackson and lived her first four years in Cloverport. The daughter of the late William Gilbert and Mary Frances Overton King, the family moved to Memphis in 1954. She graduated from Oakhaven High School in Memphis with the class of 1968. On Saturday, June 21, 1980, she was united in marriage to Mr. Alex Flint, who survives. The Flints moved back to Hardeman County in 1987.
Mrs. Flint was primarily a homemaker, but had also worked in the Hardeman County Property Assessor's Office and for CCA in Whiteville. She had attended West Memorial Baptist Church and in her spare time enjoyed gardening, cooking and time spent with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of 39 years, she leaves two sons, Brandon (Alisa) King and Derrick Flint, both of Saulsbury; a sister, Katie Jo Woods of Bolivar; three brothers, Manley Earl (Janet) King of Saulsbury, Terry Lane King of Memphis and Jerry Wayne (Peggy) King of Hernando, MS; four grandchildren, Skylar Shea King, Mackenzie Faye, Mary Allison Flint, and Joseph Allen Cummings(Stacie); one great-grandchild, Madison Joann Cummings; and one aunt, Lou Nell Cupples of Bolivar.
