Patricia Ann Huggins was born on November 15, 1945 in Memphis, TN to the late Paul and Virginia Reed Bell.
She was united in marriage to Anthony Wade Huggins, Sr. on August 3, 1974.
Ann graduated from Memphis State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She loved teaching and playing with children. She loved it when kids would come to her house to play. Ann was known for her wonderful Santa Claus letters that she wrote to children each Christmas. The letters were written specifically for each child. Ann took time to personalize each letter.
Ann loved her friends at the McNairy County Health Care Center. She was known as the ring leader of the Mean Girls Club of the 300 Hall. The girls would play cards and games each night. Ann loved to be involved in all the activities. Ann loved her country. She encouraged people to utilize their right to vote. She was very proud of her son, Wade, for serving in the United States Marine Corps.
Ann's pride and joy was her only grandchild, Connor. She loved to watch him play drums and talk about what he was doing with his music.
Ann was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Ann departed this life on April 23, 2021 in Jackson, TN at the age of 75 years, 5 months, and 8 days. She is survived by her son, Wade Huggins and his wife Melba of Selmer, TN, grandson, Connor Huggins, of Selmer, TN, and a host of family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Huggins, a son, Joey Lee Huggins, and brother, Paul “Buddy” Bell.
