Patty Jean Deming Ross

Mrs. Ross passed Sunday morning, August 7, 2016, at Life Care Center of Old Hickory, TN.
A native of Chester County, she was born near Hornsby to the late James Pruitt and Exie Rowland Deming and graduated from Chester County High School. She also was a graduate of Nashville Business School and had attended Freed-Hardeman College.
On June 30, 1956, she married Mr. Hugh Allan Ross. Mr. Ross died May 10, 2004 after 48 years of marriage. The Ross family lived in Memphis since the 1950's and Mrs. Ross moved to Old Hickory in 2007. While in Memphis, she was a bank trust officer for Union Planters Bank for approximately 20 years. She also was a member of Park Avenue Methodist Church.
She leaves three sons, Stanley Grissom of Memphis, Hugh Allan Ross, Jr. (Leah) of Old Hickory, and Mike Ross (Deborah) of Memphis; five grandchildren, Amanda Phelps (John), Mark Ross (Jenna), John Ross, Stephanie Davis (Thomas) and Michael Ross (Clarice); five great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Jean Deming.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Oneal Deming.
