Mr. Paul Howard King passed from this life Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Memphis at the age of 66 years and 30 days.
Mr. King was born July 25, 1947 to Dossie David and Rosa Elizabeth Evans King in Hardeman County, where he lived all his life. He served his country in the US Army, serving in the Vietnam War where he was stationed in Germany. He married Patsy Darline Howell on May 29, 1981. He was a member of Brints Chapel Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school and worked with young preachers. An avid student of the Bible he was very much in love with the book of Daniel. He used his enthusiasm for motorcycles to minister about the Lord as far away as Alabama as he was very active in giving his testimony.
Survivors include his wife Patsy King of Middleton; 2 daughters, Kerrie Whiteaker of Jackson and Crystal King of Middleton; 2 sons, Tony Burse of Middleton and Ben King of Toone; 3 sisters Irene Vincent of Cloverport, Emogene Walton of Bolivar and Margie Arnold of Lexington; 1 brother, David King of Bolivar; 10 grandchildren, Heather, Chloe, Brooklyn, Penny, Cody, Russ, Chasity, Shelby, Rhyse, and Jake; and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Katherine Walton and Faye Tranum, and 1 brother, Roy King.
