Paul Brian Searcy, age 62, was born into this life on January 29, 1958 in Memphis, Tennessee. Paul departed this life on June 24, 2020 in Savannah, Tennessee.
Paul was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors. He took great pride in making things grow, farming, and tending cattle. He loved cooking for others. Paul was a man of many talents and enjoyed life to the fullest. Although, he only had a ninth grade education he was very intelligent and always provided for his family.
Over the years, he worked many jobs beginning with construction and brick masonry at the age of 14 for his friend the late Nile Howell, landscaping with the late Jiggs Smith, spray gun operator at Aqua Glass for 15 years, cook on the boat for Inland Marine and Marquette for several years, mechanic at J&J Tractor until their closing with his friend Jerry Hurt and his last jobs were with his friends Kevin Dockery and Jeb Stricklin - farming and tending cattle.
Paul turned his life over to God many years ago in Corinth, MS. He will be missed dearly. He was loved by all and loved all.
He is survived by his daughters, Amber McQueen and husband Kenny of Bolivar, TN and Tonya Martin of Toone, TN; sisters, Dana Byrne and Shelia Hudson and husband Barney all of Texas; ex-wife and lifelong friend, Mary Tyson of Toone, TN; 12 grandchildren, Brian Crabb (Christen), Spence Crabb (Ava), Benjamin "Hunter" Crabb, Tommy Crabb, Lilyana Bowden, Keely Mercer, Maze McQueen, Bethany McIntosh (Allen Bright), Bailey Waddle, Summer McQueen, Emily McQueen and Jaden McQueen; great granddaughter, Emerie Bright and two on the way; and a host of extended family and close friends.
Paul believed you did not have to be blood to be family. He cherished his friends close - several guys he considered his sons or brothers and a couple of girls he called his daughters; his friends nieces and nephews - well, he called them his too.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Claude Searcy and Frances Jane Searcy; brother, Keith Christopher Searcy.
