Peggy Carlin

Peggy Faye Burns Carlin was born January 31, 1930 in the Gravel Hill Community. She passed from this life on August 31, 2019 at her home in Eastview, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Charles Henry Burns and Athalee Hopkins Burns. She married the love of her life, James Troy Carlin, Jr. on June 19, 1948. They were married 69 years before his death in 2017. She was a wonderful Mother to her 3 daughters, Sherry Brooks (Fiance, Dale Monroe), Tena Rowsey, and Tammy Forsythe (Steve).

She loved her grandchildren: Erik Brooks, Easton Rowsey, Bethany Anderson (Jason), Nathan Forsythe, Katie Aristorenas (Andrew) and Mandy Monroe Dabbs. She was Ma to Blake and Maddie Dabbs.

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Metra McCoy (Harlan), Obra Burns (Marie), Charles Burns, Jr. (Imogene), and Montre Burns (Louise). She is survived by her Sister-in-Law, Gayle Forsythe, Brother-in-Law, Joe Fulton, Teresa Stanfield and family whom she loved like her own. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, family, and friends whom she loved very much.

She was a member of the Antioch church of Christ in Ramer, Tennessee. She was a servant at heart, cooking and visiting the sick and elderly until she was physically unable, but continued calling and sending cards even when her health was failing. She loved yard sales, working in her flowers, and was well known for her wonderful cooking. She will be missed by so many.
