Peggy Jane Vickers

April 17, 1937 — December 30, 2020

Mrs. Vickers passed away Wednesday afternoon at her home near Middleton.

A native of Fulton, MS, she was born Saturday, April 17, 1937, daughter of the late Shelb and Edith Whitten Loague and lived in Memphis prior to moving here in 1977. She was a homemaker, but in earlier years, served as a part time waitress at the Tiplersville Auction and formerly worked for Sears and Roebuck. She enjoyed collecting roosters and teapots, having an extensive collection, and looked forward to family get togethers and talking on the phone. Mrs. Vickers was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church in McNairy County.

Survivors include two sons, Jeff Vickers (Patty) of Selmer and John Vickers of Middleton; two sisters, Evoynne Lockridge (Gene) of Memphis and Nan Morgan of Vermillion, OH; two brothers, Royce Loague and Mike Loague, both of Dorsey, MS; four grandchildren, Brandon Vickers, Ashlee Howell (Jason), Allison Lax (Evin) and Colton Vickers; and 5 great grandchildren, Carson, Isabella, Collier, Paisley and Adalynn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter in law, LaWanda Vickers. * Maintain 6 feet between yourself and the next closest person;
* Refrain from hugs and handshakes;
* When you sneeze or cough, use your elbow to cover your nose and mouth;
* Wash your hands often;
* Avoid touching your face; and
* Minimize time spent in places where people gather.
