Peggy Ruth Lipford Shull

Peggy Ruth Lipford Shull departed this life on Saturday, May 23, 2020, at the age of 80 years, 8 months, and 8 days. She was born in McNairy County, Tennessee on September 15, 1939, the daughter of the late Amos and Mary Garner Lipford.

Peggy had lived on Lonesome Pine Road for most of her life. For several years she had worked in the garment industry at Cross Country Manufacturing, Kay Windsor, and Savannah Manufacturing for 18 years. Peggy enjoyed working in her flower bed, listening to good gospel music, doing word search puzzles, and loved going to church; she attended Peoples Tabernacle Church.

She is survived by her children, Brenda Herndon of Savannah, Tennessee, Rose Hardin, and Dennis Young, both of Adamsville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Chris Young, Chad Hardin, Jana Young, Douglas Young, Kelsey Young, and Grant Young; honorable grandchildren, Crystal Moon, Lauren Allen, Hunter Melson, Justin Melson, Destiney, and Ashton Melson; 9 great grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Faye West of Bolivar, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert "Rabbit" Shull; a sister, Betty Sue Henry; and a brother, Charles Robert Lipford.
