Perry "Papa Pete" Walls was born on May 24, 1957 in Madison County, Tennessee, the son of the late Junius and Ramona Joseph Walls.
On October 31, 2008, he was united in marriage to Martha Grace Wilkinson, who survives,
Mr. Walls honorably served his country in the United States Navy from April 16, 1975 to November 26, 1976. He worked for Wise Company. Perry, or "Papa Pete" as he was known by many, was one of a kind. He loved his Rock-N-Roll, guitar, harmonica, cold Busch, Bud Platinum, and some good ole Seagrams 7. He loved watching football, the weather, and the news. If there was a joke to be told, he told it. Going down to just listen to the Bluegrass music was his soul.
Perry "Papa Pete" Walls departed this life on May 13, 2022 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 64 years, 11 months, and 19 days.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Walls of Pinson, Tennessee; daughters, Leslie Walls of Memphis, Tennessee, April Sparks of Savannah, Tennessee, Laura Wells of Henderson, Tennessee, and Magan Walls of Henderson, Tennessee; brother, Terry Joe Walls of Toone, Tennessee; sisters, Emily Lua of Texas and Becky Gaggley of Jackson, Tennessee; and grandchildren, Domanik White, Desirra White, Destanie White, Deshayla White, Lanny, Seth, Samantha, Blake, Melanie Hensley, and Landon Jones.
In addition to his parents, Perry was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan H. White.
