Philip Morris McClain was born May 27, 1940 in Selmer, TN the son of the late Freeman and Lena James McClain. He was retired Owner Operator of McClain Trucking Company in Selmer.
Philip was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family, cooking for various community benefits, and fishing. He was a former Selmer Jaycee. Mr. McClain departed this life on May 15, 2018 in Jackson at the age of 77 Years, 11 Months, 18 Days.
He is survived by his wife Dot McClain of Selmer, TN; two daughters, Phyllis West of Selmer, Daina McClain of Roseland, LA; a son, Tommy McClain of Michigan; two sisters, Kay Nix of Adamsville, TN, Janet Ferrell of Selmer; two brothers, Larry McClain and wife Ann of Columbia, TN, Ricky McClain of Selmer, TN; 11 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren and nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Betty McClain, Pauline McClain, Janet Rinehart; a brother-in-law, Terry Moore and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. McClain was preceded in death by two daughters, Jackie Elaine (McClain) Wright and Kim Osman; a son, Danny McClain; a grandchild, Phillip Sikes; a grt-grandchild, Jase Harrell; a sister, Christine Sewell; five brothers, Maury McClain, Wendell McClain, David McClain, Ronald McClain, Jimmy McClain.
